A 60-ton-per-day parboiled rice milling production line

This complete set of rice processing equipment differs from basic rice processing in its advanced and intensive processing. Advanced processing includes processing different varieties of rice. It can be understood as processing rice at a deeper level, not only for rice but also for paddy rice and other types of rice. General processing includes parboiled rice, no-wash rice, and fortified rice processing techniques. Today, we’ll briefly introduce parboiled rice processing.

RICE MILL PLANT

Parboiled rice has gained widespread popularity because it alters the structural mechanics of the grain. Through the steaming process in rice processing machinery, the husk of the paddy becomes very brittle, making the milling process easier. It can also increase the hourly output of the rice hulling machine by about 40%, reduce the wear and tear of the rubber rollers by half, and save 20% on electricity consumption. After steaming, the grain structure becomes denser and firmer. Further processing results in very transparent rice grains with excellent luster, significantly reduced broken rice, and an increase in milling yield of approximately 4%.

Furthermore, parboiled rice processed using specialized equipment has a higher nutritional value than ordinary rice. During this deep processing, the hydrothermal treatment causes the germ and bran, rich in B vitamins and minerals, to penetrate the endosperm along with the water. Nearly 90% of the germ’s nutrients end up in the endosperm.
