Advanced Technology for 60-Ton/Day Rice Processing Equipment: Paddy Dehulling and Milling

In the rice production line, the dehuller removes the outer layer of the rice grain by controlling the milling and dehulling pressure, followed by friction polishing to eliminate any remaining husk fragments. This machine removes approximately 70% of the paddy’s outer layer, preparing the material for subsequent processing stages. Proper operation and adherence to standard procedures are essential to maximize the machine’s effectiveness and enhance the quality of the final rice product.

Dehulling the paddy minimizes the amount of bran remaining on the milled rice, thereby improving its edible quality. Since the grain is encased in a husk, dehulling facilitates separation and increases germ removal efficiency. Furthermore, removing the outer layer—which often contains undesirable substances—enhances the purity and overall quality of the rice.

Inadequate dehulling of the raw paddy can lead to several adverse effects, such as:

1. **Screen Adjustment:** The clearance must be carefully set; it should be neither smaller than the paddy’s transverse diameter nor larger than its longitudinal diameter. Incorrect settings can lead to increased material loss and reduced product quality.

2. **Inlet and Outlet Gate Coordination:** The inlet gate opening should ideally be maintained at approximately 50% of its full range. Proper coordination with the outlet is also crucial; operators should manage the outlet pressure valve, collect the finished product at the discharge point, and inspect the dehulling results.

The FOTMA MILL 60-ton vertical rice milling system features an automated, integrated process designed specifically for grains such as millet (including glutinous, yellow, and white varieties) and sorghum. The system delivers high product yields, excellent color, and high purity. The process flow encompasses raw grain elevation, cleaning, impurity and stone removal, husking (dehulling), paddy-brown rice separation, emery-roll milling, polishing, and grading.

Key advantages include automated operation, high milling yield, pollution-free processing, and ease of operation and maintenance.

1. **Advanced Processing Technology:** This plant utilizes a modern process involving hulling followed by gentle milling. This effectively resolves the issues associated with traditional methods—such as milling unhulled grain—which often result in high breakage rates and uneven milling.

2. **State-of-the-Art Equipment:** The system incorporates our company’s high-efficiency cleaning and hulling machinery, advanced milling equipment, and proprietary high-efficiency millet grading technology. These innovations ensure a high milling yield and low breakage rate, producing millet with a bright, golden appearance.

3. **Comprehensive Process Flow:** The plant features fully automated, continuous operations—spanning raw grain cleaning, destoning, multi-stage hulling, multi-stage milling and polishing, grading, bagging, and power distribution. The workflow is streamlined, ensuring ease of operation and maintenance.

4. **Low Energy Consumption:** By replacing traditional high-energy machinery with modern, energy-efficient equipment, the system minimizes overall energy consumption per unit of output.

5. **Versatile Application:** This equipment is ideally suited for large, medium, and small-scale millet processing plants—as well as specialized individual processors—in both urban and rural areas.
