Recently, the processing plant where I work planned to install an intelligent, automated 60-ton rice processing line. During the preparation phase, we thoroughly researched the types, prices, and functions of the necessary equipment.
First, we focused on the cost. Market research indicates that FOTMA MILL’s small-scale complete sets range from 250,000 to 500,000 RMB, suitable for small plants; medium-scale equipment ranges from 500,000 to 2 million RMB, meeting mid-sized production needs; while large-scale equipment—capable of high-volume production—comes with a higher price tag, typically exceeding 2 million RMB. Given our production scale, we opted for medium-sized equipment to balance production efficiency with cost-effectiveness.
Next, we examined the components of the complete system. This intelligent processing line comprises a series of key machines, including rice cleaning equipment, a husker, a rice whitener, a grading sieve, and a color sorter. The cleaning equipment removes impurities from the raw material; the husker removes the hulls to produce brown rice; the whitener processes the brown rice further by removing the bran to yield polished rice; and the grading sieve and color sorter classify and sort the polished rice to ensure product quality. These machines are interconnected via an intelligent control system, enabling automation and smart operation throughout the production process.
It is also worth noting the system’s versatility. Beyond processing rice, some of the equipment can handle other grains, such as millet and oats. This significantly boosts equipment utilization rates and lowers production costs.
Following careful preparation, our intelligent 60-ton rice processing line is about to go into operation. We look forward to the higher production efficiency and superior product quality this equipment will deliver.
